A proven leader, Richard Haggerty has worked in the real estate industry for over 35 years. During that time, he has been active and involved in both Association and MLS Business. He served previously as Chief Strategic Growth Officer of OneKey® MLS and as CEO of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors®, Inc (HGAR). He has also served as the CEO of the Hudson Gateway MLS, the second largest MLS in New York State, which merged with the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island to form OneKey® MLS.

As an industry expert, Richard understands the people, places, and pulse of the residential market like no other. In 2017, he brokered the absorption of the Manhattan Association of REALTORS® by HGAR. He met with Manhattan brokers, and quickly grasped their needs for accurate data and their desire to market their listings to consumers that highlight the listing broker. He did the same for the Bronx Association of REALTORS®.

Recognizing the demand for a central listing service in the New York metro area, Richard was a driving force behind the merger of the Hudson Gateway and Long Island Multiple Listing Services in 2018. The New York metro area’s first regional MLS serves Manhattan, the Bronx, Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, and Orange Counties.

Richard has been an active instructor for the National, New York State, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Oregon, and U.S. Virgin Islands Associations of REALTORS®. He has served on numerous committees, including the Professional Standards Committee and the Association Executives Committee of the National Association of REALTORS®, as well as numerous Committees of the New York State Association of REALTORS®.
